The 93-year old Royal Hawaiian Groin has finally received a much needed face-lift. Sea Engineering as project consultant to DLNR, provided engineering and archaeological monitoring services for the Royal Hawaiian Groin Replacement.

SEI’s Kuhio Beach Stub Groin Erosion Remediation Project is Achieving Desired Result
Sea Engineering provided coastal engineering and permitting services for the construction of a 2.5m³ ElcoRock groin at Kuhio Beach. In a recent State of Hawaii, Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) news release, DLNR announced that the stub groin for the Kūhio Erosion Control Project is performing well, and achieving the desired result.
